Franken-schnoz Has Returned

Because of a comment by Salsera today at work on my portly physique, I'm now calling her Franken-schnoz, or FS for short, due to her recent "work" she had done.

In all seriousness, glad you're back FS.

You son of a biscuit eater!

This ORbit gum commercial has been out for a while, but is still awesome. Good Friday fun for you!

Any time you can call someone a "lint licker" it's a good thing!

Richmond Restaurant Week is Finally Official

Per Richmond.com this morning, Richmond Restaurant week will be Monday, October 22 through Sunday, October 28.

For those that haven't been fortunate enough to patronize one of the participating restaurants in the past, here's the idea. Local restaurants charge a ridiculously reasonable price for a price fixed 3 course menu with some of the proceeds going to support the Central Virginia Food Bank. This year the price per person is only $25.07 with $2.07 from every meal going to the food bank.

Prices went up nominally this year and Comfort isn't on the list of participating lists of restaurants, BUT this is one of the best things that comes to Richmond yearly, and I wholeheartedly recommend everyone to go out and eat some great grub.

Can You Believe People Do This to Dogs?

It's hard to watch, but I think it's really important to expose how some people treat their dogs...

Sorry, but I had to expose this terrible thing! We should stop this now! Any ideas on how?

My Daughter Should Write Self Help Books

I've been promising the kids for the past couple of days that I'll bring home an eight foot inflatable spider to put out in the yard for Halloween, BUT I keep forgetting.

My oldest daughter, B. decided to write a to do list for me. She did so good that I think she might have a future in writing self help material. Below is the list. The ending really is the kicker. It's funny how kids have a grasp on life without even knowing it.

To Do List for Mom & Dad

  1. get spider put in car
  2. go to work for 8 or 9 hours
  3. come home
  4. have Dinner
  5. put children to bed
  6. go to bed
  7. wake up
  8. do everything again for rest of life

Now if that isn't insightful while begin down right hilarious, I don't know what is. Have a great day everyone!

Good luck Salsera! We'll miss you!

One of my co-workers, pod mates, and blog readers, Salsera, goes under the knife today for a rhinoplasty.

Salsera is one of the best, overly-excitable, balls out co-workers I've ever had. I hope she gets through surgery ok and comes back soon.
