I've joined a crazy group of folks

I've really done it now... Richmond's own Kamen Lee has come up with the Blog365 idea. It's in the vein of NaBloPoMo, but as the name hints at, it's for every day in 2008.

At first I thought it was a crazy idea, but really think this can help me. This blog has wandered a bit since I started it. I want it to truly reflect the vision I'm narrowing down.

Here's to me posting till my fingers bleed!

BTW, if you're crazy enough to join, go to the Blog365 site by clicking here.

My RVABlogs Score Sucks

Have you guys ever logged in to RVABlogs' Hott or Nott feature to see how your blog is ranked "the enigmatic RVABlogsScore"? Don't lie, you know you have!

Well, enigmatic is one word for it. I can't figure my score out at all. My wife, who doesn't post as much as me, is consistently ranked higher than me. Is it that the powers that be at RVABlogs just don't think my posts are any good? Do I need to talk more about Richmond? Is there really a ranking system at all?

Somebody help me out with this question of the ages!

Man...Going to the Happiest Place on Earth Shouldn't Be This Freakin' Hard

Many of you don't know that a seminal event in our family's history is about to happen...the clan is packing up and going to Disney World for a week.

I gave this trip to my family as a Christmas gift last year. I'm really glad we're blessed enough to afford to go, but criminy this trip planning has been ridiculous.

I can't take anymore looking at activities, planning itineraries, disecting trip costs, etc.

We're all feeling the stress. My mother in law had the nerve to complain last night that we're not going to Sea World, when she is coming with us without paying a dime! Belinda is getting frazzled. The kids are so excited that they don't know what to do.

I hope this trip works out the way we want it to, but I know it probably won't and that's ok. I just hope my family knows how much I love them and that this trip will make us closer as a family. If not, at least we can all say we got to see Mickey without killing each other (I hope)!

100th Post - My wife's a badass!

Several folks read my wife's post about the lessons learned as a wife.

For my widely anticipated 100th post, I figured I'd give you an example of why I love my wife.

Belinda is a Brownie leader in Colonial Heights. To my surprise, she's taken to it like a retriever to water. She loves it and is doing an awesome job.

Because a leader in the Colonial Heights Girl Scout Council dropped the ball, a lot of girls were not going to be able to participate in the Colonial Heights Christmas Parade. Basically, this leader didn't send any forms in while telling everyone that she did.

This is when Belinda becomes a badass...Belinda wasn't going to let her troop or other troops in the area miss out on the parade because of some knucklehead. She took the problem by the horns, got all the CH Girls in the parade, and even had a parent make an awesome banner for the girls to carry.

Their entry in the parade warms my heart because it meant so much to the girls and it was because of my beloved that they were able to particpate.

Good work honey! I love you!
