I copied my buddy Chris and made some snow cream tonight. Kids loved it. Make it for your kids, they'll love it.
Below is the recipe, if you can call it that:
1 egg, optional
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. cream
2 qt. fresh clean snow
In a medium mixing bowl, combine egg, sugar, vanilla and cream. Put snow in a large bowl and pour egg mixture over it. Stir quickly before the snow melts. Taste add more sugar and vanilla if needed.

Only thing that you need to watch out for is the yellow stuff :) and little specks of dirt... but probably just adds some sort of 'interesting' flavor!
I scooped from the top of the van (just not the part that touched the top figuring that was probably at least a little bit dirty).
